On 24 of April we initiated a new collaboration between FAF and the international app DailyArt. We see this as a natural and important extension of our efforts to popularize photography and integrate it into the international circulation of art. DailyArt, one of the world’s most popular educational art apps, is built on a simple yet highly effective format – presenting one artwork daily with an accessible commentary.
Until now, painting has dominated its content, so the opportunity to systematically introduce photography – along with its contexts and histories – opens up space to expand our understanding of what a masterpiece can be.
The app currently reaches over 800,000 active users monthly, has been downloaded several million times, and operates in more than 20 languages, ensuring a truly global reach. In 2024, DailyArt received the Apple App Store Award in the Cultural Impact category.
DailyArt collaborates with leading museums worldwide, such as the Louvre and the Getty Museum, and we are pleased that our Foundation is now joining this group. We are excited about this collaboration and its potential to further strengthen the presence of Polish photography within the global canon of art. Already today, you can find a work by Mariusz Hermanowicz on DailyArt.
