I would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to all enthusiasts of photography and its history, to join the Friends of the Archeology of Photography Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization. Therefore, potential support from the Friends is of fundamental importance to us, allowing for further expansion of our operations, developing a wider exhibition program, and producing publications with a focus on the practice of outstanding photographers whose archives are concurrently being researched. A group of 25 friends is enough to finance an exhibition catalogue, 5 Friends make it possible to restore and preserve a damaged photograph, 40 friends can bring about an interesting exhibition project. By becoming a Friend of the Foundation and contributing as little as 100 PLN annually, you can have an influence on the development of photography in Poland.

Why is supporting the Archeology of Photography Foundation important?
Becoming a Friend of the Foundation is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a unique institution – a dynamic, independent, site promoting Polish photography, with programs focused on researching and collecting archives of exceptional historical and artistic value. The materials unveiled and researched by the Foundation are of vital importance and providing support for our activity boosts chances for preserving these unique materials and making them available to a wider public. Supporting the Foundation means a valuable investment in the development of Polish culture and academic practice and, at the same time, owing to an extensive program of international cooperation, promotes Polish photography abroad. A young, professional and dynamic team, guarantees the most efficient use of funding received by the organization.
Why do we need your support?
The Foundation is a non-profit organization. Research, preserving and promotion of photography, requires not only extensive effort, but also financial means. All digitized materials will be stored in an advanced and widely-accessible database. Exhibition and publishing projects, aimed at the research and popularization of the archive collections of the most eminent Polish photographers, also involve considerable financial outlay.

– The first 50 individuals will receive a selected volume published this year as a gift.
– Invitation to exhibition previews at which you can enjoy a glass of wine.
– Two Foundation exhibition catalogues annually free of charge.
– 20% discount for all Foundation publications.
– Invitation to an exclusive annual presentation, featuring new collections and material in custody, headed by a Foundation curator, with discussions on behind the scenes aspects of work on the archives of Zbigniew Dlubak, Zofia Chometowska, Janusz Bakowski, Wojciech Zamecznik, Maria Chrzaszczowa and Tadeusz Suminski.
– Priority in subscriptions to workshops and meetings organized by the Foundation.
