Reading room

Since its beginning in 2008, the Archeology of Photography Foundation has been collecting thousands of books and magazines on photography and art. The collection is open to the public in the reading room, located at the Foundation’s headquarters at 20 Chłodna Street.

The book collection consists mainly of albums and books on photography, but also includes books on contemporary/modern art, texts on the history and theory of photography, books on archives, architecture and much more. Please feel free to browse the inventory and use the reading room. We provide access to an inventory of more than 1,500 books, including more recent publications, published between 1990 and 2021, as well as archival books from the collections of photographers whose work is cared for by the FAF.
